Joseph is a corporate, securities, and venture capital lawyer working exclusively with
growth companies
and the venture capitalists and angels who fund such companies. Joseph specializes and
has substantial
experience in preferred share issuances and convertible note financings (company-side
and
investor-side), M&A, private debt financings, licensing and other commercial agreements,
strategic and
joint venture partnerships, equity compensation, and corporate governance.
Prior to founding Nivaro.law, Joseph worked for a number of years at the leading Danish
law firm of
Kromann Reumert and at one of the leading law firms in Israel. He has also worked in the
in-house legal
department of a large Danish listed company.
Joseph’s clients range from unfunded founders to mid- and late-stage private companies.
Most of Joseph’s
clients are tech companies including software, SaaS, wireless, health tech, mobile,
Internet, medical
device, biotech, clean tech, and game companies.
Joseph obtained his law degree (cand.jur/LL.M) from the University of Copenhagen in
2002. He has taught
international contract law at the University of Copenhagen (2004-2005).
He is a member of the Danish Bar Association, the Copenhagen Lawyers’ Association. He is
licensed to
practice law in Denmark and to practice law as a foreign lawyer in Israel.
Joseph is fluent in Danish, English, Italian and Spanish and he also speaks Hebrew and
the other
Scandinavian languages.
